I love the 90s versions and used to enjoy v1-3, but everything after that - what the fuck? The brand has become extremely tacky (eg. v4 onwards, music star- WTF is that?) and has lost all essence of what the original versions were about. The whole aesthetic and visual appeal of the 90s tamagotchi was that it was simple, stylish and appealed to lots of people. Now, the brand is aimed at such a narrow audience, no wonder it&#8217;s failing. Right down to the colours and shell design, the original was perfect, the designs were simple and vast, with a small shell size. Recently I&#8217;ve got back into tamagotchi and have bought some vintages from ebay, but before that, the last version I liked was the V3 back in &#8216;06. After that, I completely lost interest in the brand.
